It was a chocolate cake with mocha icing. I was disappointed though because the mocha icing was delicious by itself, but after it was on the cake, it just tasted like chocolate icing. Oh well though, it was still good. :)

Mocha Basket Weave
I made this cake the other day:
It was a chocolate cake with mocha icing. I was disappointed though because the mocha icing was delicious by itself, but after it was on the cake, it just tasted like chocolate icing. Oh well though, it was still good. :)
I used a different tip for this basket weave than my last basket weave. Which one do you like better?

I love both your basket weave cakes, but I really love the flowers on this one. They are so pretty and look like Spring =) I also totally love mocha. Perhaps next time you should add more coffee to make it more flavorful? I could definitely go for some chocolate cake right now =D
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah, these are my favorite flowers to make, they're fast and easy, but turn out so delicate and pretty. And yes, more coffee would be good, but also I think the cake needed more icing in general, so that would help the flavor stand out more, too.
