Basket Weave

The other day I finished my last class in the Wilton cake decorating courses. I learned how to do the basket weave which was something I had been wanting to learn for a while. It's so pretty and really fun to do!

The flowers are apple blossoms made out of royal icing. They're really fun to make as well!

I think I have a new favorite.

haha, what do you do with all the cakes after you make them? eat them? lol
you should try to make a gluten-free cake sometime, if you would want to. FYI if you do do it, they fall apart :P

  4. Thank you! Yes, unfortunately we've been eating the cakes after they are decorated. You may not think of that as unfortunate, but after you'd eaten as many cakes as I have you would see my view point, ha.
Thanks for the suggestion! Yeah, maybe I'll have to do a gluten free cake soon!
